The ground

Experiments

Where any change has to work first. Real bathrooms, real people, real settings: the home, the care home, the public toilet, the plane. Nothing rises to infrastructure or ecosystem until it has earned trust here, on the ground, in the flow of ordinary life.

What lives here

Real settings

Homes, care settings, venues and public places, where a change has to survive real use.

Operators & residents

The staff, carers and people who live with a solution, and co-create the tests.

Hardware & sensing

The sensors and devices that produce the first tangible proof points.

Pilots

Neighbourhood-scale trials that turn a demonstration into methodised, comparable evidence.

What progress looks like · Levels 1 to 3
1
Unnamed
2
Framed
3
Demonstrated

Unnamed, Framed, Demonstrated: the problem gets a name, a map, and a first working proof in a real place. On the readiness diagnostic, this level sits at levels 1 to 3 of nine; the weakest lever sets the level, and the weakest lever is the next work.

How BHOS works this level.

Prototyping

Incubating hardware, like biochemical sensors, for tangible proof points and reference transactions, and running neighbourhood-scale pilots to methodise interoperability between smart bathrooms and clinical records.

Learning

Acting as a transition observatory: gathering real feedback, treating failure as learning, and keeping the evidence in the open and owned by the people it came from.

In Campaign 01

For Guardian Angel, the ground is the places whole communities pass through. The near-term work is mapping the detection technology and the operators, and standing up the first working session with named participants.
