Perimenopause & menopause

The long arc the system abandons. Make perimenopause visible from passive daily signal.

Also touches: Performance
Biomarkers
  • Urinary hormones

LH, FSH, estrogen metabolites, progesterone metabolites for cycle and fertility.

  • Skin temperature

Surface temperature trend. Cycle phase, infection, and circulation signal.

  • Heart-rate variability

Beat-to-beat variation. Autonomic balance, recovery, stress, and overtraining signal.

Sensors
  • Urine immunoassay

Lateral-flow and microfluidic assays measuring hormones, drug metabolites, and infection-specific biomarkers from urine.

  • Thermal sensor

Long-wave infrared array reading skin temperature and circulation patterns. Useful for cycle phase, fever, and peripheral perfusion.

  • ECG electrodes

Contact electrodes integrated into the seat for short-arm and short-leg ECG. Captures rhythm, conduction, and waveform morphology each sit.

  • PPG / optical sensor

Photoplethysmography optical sensors at the seat and handrail contact points. Captures heart rate, HRV, and SpO₂ from blood-volume pulse.

  • Mirror camera

Low-resolution facial and torso imaging behind the mirror with on-device inference. Reads heart rate, respiration, and SpO₂ via remote photoplethysmography (rPPG); also captures skin tone, posture, and gesture. Raw frames never leave the room; only features.

Open questions
  1. 01

How might we build the perimenopause cohort the system currently abandons?

  2. 02

How might we surface hormone-axis change before it becomes symptom-led care?

  3. 03

How might we connect peri/menopause to longevity and performance, not only reproduction?
